Washer Repair
in Ankeny, Des Moines & Central Iowa.

A washer that stops mid-cycle or leaves water in the drum needs a careful assessment of the cycle, not simply a replacement part. Surge checks the reported behavior and explains the next step.

Start with what you observe

Common concerns we assess

  • Not draining, filling, or spinning
  • Leaks or excessive vibration
  • Door-lock problems or interrupted cycles

Symptoms are not a diagnosis. Several components or conditions can produce similar behavior. An in-home assessment helps determine the appropriate next step.

What the assessment considers

Possible causes can include drain obstructions, pumps, inlet valves, suspension, door-lock systems, drive components, or controls. Relevant testing helps separate installation conditions from component failures.

A recommendation you can evaluate

Provide the make, model, and any displayed error code. If water is leaking, stop using the washer and turn off its water supply when safe. The quote lets you weigh repair against replacement.

Clear expectations

Understand the work.
Approve the price.

The assessment and repair are separate. After relevant testing, Surge explains the findings and provides an upfront Blue Book job-rate quote for parts and labor. You decide whether to proceed.

Parts and repair timing

OEM parts are preferred when appropriate and available. A proposed aftermarket replacement is disclosed before work. If an ordered part is needed for an approved repair, a return appointment is arranged without adding a trip fee solely for that return. Same-day repair is not guaranteed.

All repair services require acceptance of our Appliance Repair Service Agreement & Terms of Service, presented at the time of service. You may review it anytime at: www.surgeiowa.com/terms. Customers are never required to sign under pressure; service is optional and may be declined at any time prior to work beginning.

In-Home Assessment

$99assessment fee

The assessment covers the trip to your home and professional evaluation of the reported appliance problem.

  • Evaluation of reported symptoms with relevant testing
  • Clear observations and repair recommendations
  • Upfront Blue Book repair quote when a repair is recommended
  • Repair work performed only with your approval

The $99 assessment fee is separate from the repair price and is not applied toward the repair. Repair parts and labor are quoted using standardized appliance Blue Book job-rate pricing rather than hourly billing. A repair is never automatically authorized simply because an assessment has been scheduled.
